Good letter to Jenny McCarthy
I stumbled across this blog entry - a mom with an autistic kid reminding Jenny that autism is not a curse.
One thing I have thought for a long time is that there should be a different developmental milestone blueprint for parents of kids with autism. We have to think about things like teaching our kids to advocate for themselves, teaching them how to keep calm if a panic attack is coming along, etc. And how to do that changes with their other developmental milestones (middle school, high school, college for example).
